Rachel Wiegardt-Egel

As the grants and contracts manager, Rachel works across departments to process grants and contracts throughout their life cycle and ensure due diligence and compliance.

Previously, Rachel was the grants associate at the Perenchio Foundation, where she helped build systems that enabled a lean staff to quickly scale arts and culture grantmaking. She played key roles in both grants management and programmatic work. Rachel began her career in the arts, working in program management at nonprofit theaters nationwide. At the Geffen Playhouse, she oversaw play development, collaborated with playwrights on new projects, and spearheaded The Writers’ Room, a program focused on bringing artists into community.

She holds a BA in English from UCLA and enjoys testing recipes, traveling, and spending time on the California coast.
